FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL PROJECT TAKE?
We strive to have your new roof finished within 3 weeks on average from the moment the contract is signed. Depending on different factors such as the complexity of the project, weather, roof size, and city/county location times may vary.
WILL MY INSURANCE PREMIUM BE LOWER WITH A NEW ROOF?
It all depends on your current insurance provider and your policy. The average homeowner can expect to save anywhere from 20% to 40% on their insurance policy after getting a roof replacement done with permits using the right materials.
ARE PERMITS REQUIRED?
Yes, pulling permits is one of the most important parts of getting a new roof. Without a permit your insurance company won't approve your new roof for any available discounts. We take care of pulling the permits and all the permit fees, so you don't have to worry about any extra cost.
IS A DOWN PAYMENT REQUIRED TO START?
NO. Here at Gabisa Construction we are so certain that you'll love your new roof that we won't even charge you for a payment upfront. Pay the full amount at the end after the final permit has been closed by the city.
WHAT IS A THIRD NAIL AND DO I NEED IT?
When you hear about the Third Nail it means the amount of nails your house has holding the Trusses. Houses build in Florida prior to the year 2002 where only required by code to have Two Nails attached in the straps. Why is this important to know? Insurance companies offer up to 30% discount on your premium for adding a Third Nial to your roof. But most importantly it adds an extra layer of protection to your roof in a hurricane. A Truss clip that has only Two Nails will only give you about 300-350 pounds of lift. A Third Nail brings that to 500-600 pounds. This can mean the difference between protection from a Category 1 hurricane to protection for a Category 4 according to study.
